Women Like Me (Panel Discussion & Networking ) and Launching 2023 STEM Sisters Ambassador Program

We are excited to announce the upcoming Women Like Me panel discussion and networking event, designed to empower and support women of colour in STEM fields in Australia. This event aims to unite a diverse group of accomplished professionals to share their personal journeys, challenges, and successes, offering invaluable insights and inspiration for women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Please mark your calendars for 27th June 2023 and join us at ACS Victoria for an engaging conversation, networking, and community-building evening. The panel discussion will feature an exceptional lineup of speakers, including speakers representing various sectors within the STEM industry; these panellists will provide a comprehensive perspective on the opportunities and challenges women of colour face in STEM.

During the panel discussion, speakers will address topics such as overcoming imposter syndrome, navigating workplace dynamics, and balancing personal and professional life. They will also share advice on how to forge your unique career path and stand out in a competitive job market. Following the panel discussion, a Q&A session will allow attendees to engage directly with the panellists and seek guidance on their specific challenges and aspirations.

After the Q&A, a networking session will provide attendees with the opportunity to connect with the panellists, as well as other women of colour in STEM. This session aims to foster a sense of community and support among the participants, offering a platform for building new professional relationships, mentorships, and potential collaborations.
