Santa’s Lab Sydney: Lighting the Spark of Science in Young Minds!
When did you first dream of becoming a teacher, a chef, a scientist, or even a pilot? For many, it starts with that one magical moment of inspiration—a moment that shows how curiosity can unlock endless possibilities.
On December 3rd, Santa’s Lab Sydney became that moment for 120 bright-eyed kindergarteners at Baulkham Hills North Primary School. Hosted by the incredible STEM Sisters NSW Ambassadors, this three-hour journey into the world of science was as magical as it was educational.
🎄 Science Meets Holiday Magic 🎄
What happens when you combine the festive season with STEM? Pure magic. Our young “scientists for a day” explored the wonders of:
- Jumping Tinsels – Showcasing the captivating power of static electricity.
- Fizzing Trees – Where chemical reactions brought Christmas trees to life!
- Santa’s Magic Milk – Revealing the mesmerizing science of molecules.
- Rudolph’s Lava Lamp – A dazzling display of density and reactions.
With wide eyes and eager hands, these young learners experimented, explored, and discovered. Concepts like molecules and chemical reactions suddenly felt less like abstract ideas and more like thrilling adventures.
👩🔬 Trailblazing Women Leading the Way 👩🔬
This event was led by a powerhouse team of NSW Ambassadors:
- Naisana Seyedasli
- Kay Nagendra-Meynard
- Francine Perrine-Walker
- Nelum Attanayake
Each of them brought their unique expertise to the lab, blending passion with creativity to inspire the next generation of STEM enthusiasts.
