As we introduce the 9th issue of MAGNIFY, our journey continues to celebrate and amplify the voices of empowered women of colour in STEM. This issue marks another significant step in our mission to spotlight their remarkable accomplishments. We are thrilled to share inspiring stories, including our dedicated volunteer Christine Tolotchkov and Ambassador Sowmiya Selvakumaraswamy, both of whom embody the spirit of empowerment within our community.
We also explore the cultural intricacies of Cuba, dive into the academic journey of trailblazer Paris Nassirnia, and highlight the transformative story of international student Divyangana Sharma. Additionally, we celebrate Shelly Agarwal’s significant strides in the STEM industry, Dr. Suzanne Martin’s insights on balancing motherhood with a STEM career, and Manika Saha’s experiences pursuing a STEM Ph.D.
This issue serves as both a celebration of the brilliance and determination of women of colour in STEM and a reminder of the work that lies ahead in dismantling systemic barriers. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our contributors, readers, and supporters who have been instrumental in this journey. Together, let us persist in amplifying underrepresented voices and creating a more diverse and inclusive future within STEM.
