On August 3, 2023, we were delighted to host the Leadership Wisdom Panel Discussion and Networking Event, organized by STEM Sisters to empower and support women of color in STEM fields. This inspiring gathering created a supportive and inclusive space for women of color in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Held from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at ACS Victoria and online, this event addressed the unique challenges faced by women of color in these industries, providing a platform for knowledge-sharing, networking, and personal growth.
The event featured a distinguished panel of accomplished women of color who have made significant contributions in their respective STEM fields. They shared their insights, experiences, and wisdom on leadership, navigating obstacles, and achieving success, inspiring attendees to reach new heights in their own career journeys. In addition to the panel discussion, attendees enjoyed valuable networking opportunities, connecting with like-minded professionals, potential mentors, and industry leaders who could support their career aspirations. Participants forged meaningful connections, shared ideas, and collaborated with fellow women of color in STEM. Whether attendees were students, early-career professionals, or seasoned experts, this event celebrated diversity and aimed to break barriers, paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable future in STEM.
