STEM Sisters is proud to be partnering with RMIT’s Skills and Jobs Centre (SAJC) to bring an online workshop on approaching STEM employers with confidence.
A large number of job opportunities are filled through the “hidden job market”, as ANU recently found.
Learning how to approach employers is a key skill if you want to succeed in a competitive job market. In this interactive workshop, an experienced instructor from RMIT’s Skills and Jobs Centre will help you learn tips and tricks to build confidence to approach STEM employers and guide you through a process that will enable you to better your job search.
In this online workshop:
- You will understand what a Unique Value Proposition is and why you need one.
- You will learn how to approach recruiters via LinkedIn for increased job search success.
- Cold calling employer approaches will be discussed and then practised with other workshop attendees in a small group setting.
This is an interactive workshop that encourages questions.
All are welcome to this FREE online workshop on Thursday, 9th September 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1 PM. We highly encourage Women of Colour from Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields to attend.
A special mention to RMIT’s Skills and Jobs Centre for offering this workshop to our STEM Sisters community.
