STEM Sisters Mentoring Program Launch

On the evening of October 31, 2019, STEM Sisters hosted a launch event introducing our Mentoring Program. The following speakers addressed the gathering showcasing the importance of this initiative. STEM Sisters was introduced by Professor Anne-Marie Hede, the Dean Graduate Research at Victoria University. The challengers of STEM Women faced were discussed by Venesha Rethnam, a Researcher from the Florey Institute of Neuroscience & Mental Health. The importance of international students to the Australian Economy was addressed by Chris Lee, the Program Lead, Employability and Entrepreneurship, Student Initiatives at Global Victoria. The topic of the Impact and Importance of Mentoring was elaborated by Morley Muse, who is a Member Board Of Directors at Women in STEM Australia and our founder Ruwangi Fernando Introduced the Stem sisters mentoring program. The MC for the evening was Shaz Sivanesan. The Presentations were followed by a networking session which enables all the guest and participants to mingle. Many thanks to all the excellent speakers and your prestigious guest, mentees and mentor for their participation.
