On September 7, 2023, we were excited to host the “Allyship in Action: Panel Discussion & Networking Event,” aimed at fostering dialogue and cultivating a community of allies within STEM fields. This gathering brought together individuals passionate about championing underrepresented groups, emphasizing the critical role of allyship in creating inclusive and equitable environments.
Held from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Australian Computer Society (ACS) in Victoria, attendees experienced an enriching evening filled with insightful conversations and community-building activities. Our esteemed panel featured prominent voices from various sectors within STEM, sharing their personal journeys and discussing effective strategies for fostering inclusivity and dismantling systemic barriers.
During the panel discussion, speakers explored essential topics such as advocating for diversity, creating inclusive spaces, and amplifying underrepresented voices.
